The North Atlantic Solutions project is a umbrella organisations for Icelandic fish companies who export their products and services. The Trade Council of Iceland is responsible for running the NAS project.

The enviroment

In the North Atlantic, fishing is tradition. At the shores of Iceland, fishermen have faced up to the challenge of the harsh environment and learned how to bring the fish safely ashore. To do so, they need the best equipment available in the fishing industry, and as a result, a powerful support industry has developed for Iceland's fishing and fish processing sectors. In Iceland there are all necessary services for the fishing industry and many manufacturers of special equipment and solutions. In fact, Icelandic companies have been used to assist in many development projects all around the world to build up regional fishing industries.

The project

The purpose of the NAS project is to establish contacts between Icelandic fish companies and foreign client's.
